About Dr. Tim Peck

Tim’s father is a Vietnam Combat vet who came home to work for the Salvation Army, building and operating the first veteran’s shelter in the United States. His mother ran operations at our church, bringing together communities of all faiths and backgrounds. They lived their lives in service to others and instilled in Tim that positive change is possible when people work together for the common good.

Tim followed his parents’ service and became a medical doctor.

Tim received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross and a Medical Degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Harvard Medical School, where he worked as an Emergency Medicine physician and Chief Resident at Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston.

While practicing medicine, Tim saw that too few patients had access to high-quality healthcare, especially those in nursing homes. On a mission to expand quality healthcare and prevent unnecessary hospitalizations, Tim lived in a nursing home for three months to immerse himself in the community he wanted to help.

The result was a mission-based telemedicine company that dramatically improved care to Medicare and Medicaid recipients, saving money, saving lives, and preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.

Tim’s leadership in telemedicine led him to Washington D.C. to advocate for increased access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. Tim testified before Congress and worked with a bipartisan group of lawmakers to craft legislation to improve healthcare while preserving and protecting Medicare. He saw that progress is possible when people work together for the common good.

Tim is running for Congress for the same reasons he became a doctor: to lift people up, and help them to live another, better day.

Dr. Tim Peck lives on a 40 acre farm in rural  Clark County with his wife, Missy, their son, Cass, and 2 dogs, 1 cat, 4 goats, and 14 chickens.
